Skip across pebbled blocks down a sunlit center walkway toward any of the seven private villas (six one-bedroom, one two-bedroom) set behind garden rows of papaya trees, banana and cotton plants.

Find bliss immediately on the private ceramic patio outside a contemporary one-bedroom villa, $150 per night for two guests (July-Aug.) including breakfast at Olam restaurant, with a fully equipped kitchen, foyer with couch, A/C, cable TV, Wi-Fi and a private bedroom with one king or two single beds, safety deposit box and extra closet space.

The Yoga Studio at Nautilus

Directly above the Olam restaurant, a 400-square foot custom-built yoga deck - especially peaceful during sunrise and sunset - exudes with fresh air from the nearby dry forest foliage. Each day, experienced instructors from across the world teach yoga (Vinyasa and restorative), Pilates and meditation classes, open to practitioners of all skill levels:

When you arrive at Nautilus, the owners will sit down with you and talk you through every little detail you may want to know about local yoga, surf, nightlife and tours. They'll gladly arrange transportation, and probably even give you a whole day's worth of adventures to go out and explore Santa Teresa and Mal Pais.

During your days around the boutique hotel, dive into the pool immediately after a yoga class upstairs, and then dry off on one of the lounge chairs using a complimentary pool towel.
