The Surf Vista Villas expand along the majestic Santa Teresa hilltop 300-feet above sea level overlooking the Pacific Ocean, free from neighbors, distractions and any soundtrack besides birds chirping the forest's natural melody. What's more? It's always a few degrees cooler there — which is pretty darn valuable on a sunny beach day.

Rooms

California-native Owner Andy Weinstein crafted the five modern mountain-style villas to wrap around the front side of a tropical plant-covered hill above the Pacific Ocean, knowing he had something special on his hands as soon as he discovered the property.

The Bird Cage, $50 per night, is a standalone two-story rental you'll notice first when you arrive at the Surf Vista Villas hilltop. It has a studio with a double bed, A/C, ceiling fan, safety deposit box, bookshelf, Wi-Fi, outdoor kitchenette, minifridge, wraparound wooden ledge facing the coastline, and a bathroom/laundry room on the bottom level.

Four private suites, $80-$100, span a two-story structure on the hillside, and all have incredible ocean views. Between each of the suites, outdoor patios have hammocks, chairs, tables and kitchen space to enjoy in the foreground of the spectacular seaside panoramic view.

Services & amenities

Surf Vista Villas has most of the Santa Teresa's vacation essentials: you can rent surfboards, $10/day and ATVs, $50/day. They'll also help you organize tours and do your laundry for $5. Parking is available in the forest just north of the Bird Cage.
